Approach

We restore degraded land and turn soil into value

We invest in real assets in Brazilian agribusiness. We buy degraded pastureland, restore the soil with techniques developed by Embrapa and generate returns on several fronts: production, leasing, land appreciation and carbon credits.

01

Relationship

The bridge between farmers and investors

In agribusiness, your word is worth as much as the contract, and reputation is the main asset. We work side by side with the people who work the land and the people who invest.

With farmers

Partnerships with local farmers who specialize in each crop. We follow their management, provide agronomic advice and oversee the restoration of degraded areas.

With investors

Each investment thesis starts from the investor's goals. Quarterly reports cover farm data, fund results and next steps.

02

Responsibility

Returns and sustainability go together

Responsibility is part of our fiduciary duty: it guides risk management and the analysis of every asset. Our funds follow international sustainability standards, and AGBI is a PRI signatory.

Carbon credits in agriculture

From degraded soil to soil that stores carbon

Techniques developed by Embrapa bring nutrients and life back to the soil, raise productivity and remove carbon from the atmosphere. This is the basis of our carbon credit work.

Return

A real-asset strategy

We invest in physical assets with intrinsic value: farmland and real estate. The goal is returns above inflation, with low speculation and capital protection.

How the return is built

Acquisition

Degraded pastureland, bought at a lower cost.

Restoration

Soil correction, regenerative management and crop planting.

Appreciation

Productive land is worth more and generates income every year.

Five sources of return

Part of the return is recurring income during the cycle; the rest is appreciation realized at sale.

  1. Crop productionRevenue from harvests on land farmed with partners.Annual income
  2. LeasingRent paid by producers for the restored land.Annual income
  3. Carbon creditsCarbon removed from the atmosphere by the restored soil, sold as credits.Over the cycle
  4. Land appreciationRestored, productive land is worth more than degraded pasture.Capital gain
  5. Asset saleGains are realized when the fund sells the land.At exit

Real estate

Leased properties under typical and atypical contracts, in markets with appreciation and income potential: hotels, storage, logistics and offices.
